Don’t you hate it when your wife calls you and starts complaining about crap that is super unimportant and is just wasting your time because they don’t really want to fix the problem or to find a solution, but rather just want to “talk about it!”  Yeah, venting about how your boss is a jackass for the 500th time will definitely help and ensure that he isn’t an idiot for a 501st time.

BTW, I still love you and it is the fact that we listen enough to try and solve the problems that “can’t really be fixed” that should keep you from complaining about us trying to be proactive and helpful!  If you don’t want input on a solution, don’t vent to me; vent to a mirror.

Don’t you hate it when you call someone to complain about something that can’t really be fixed and you just want to vent, and the person you called starts lecturing you on how to fix it or how you need to get over things?  That’s why you’re calling the person - to vent so you can get over it.  Lectures are not making me get over it!
